On Monday October 26, 2012 when Hurricane Sandy was on the East Coast this photo of three men standing guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier went viral. It was soon debunked that this photo was taken during Hurricane Sandy. Do you think any sent it viral cared? Of course not. Most Americans no matter the  political party affiliation love the discipline, strength, precision, honor, and inspiration and country pride that the United States Military engenders.

The men and women of the American military volunteer to protect the rights given by God and preserved and itemized in the Constitution of the United States.  When they are wounded or killed during service they are wounded or killed on my behalf. Their  families have sacrificed on my behalf. I get to choose the life I want to have because of their sacrifices. Honor is due to them because of this.

The disgusting actions and behavior of President Obama during the battle in Benghazi is contrary to the honor that America shows it’s soldiers.  Just as it is dishonorable for a soldier to leave fellow soldier behind willingly it is reprehensible for Obama to deny support and backup willingly for U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens, Sean Smith Glen Doherty, and Tyrone Woods.

This photograph going viral shows that Americans don’t view this tomb as a meaningless symbol but a reflection of the belief freedoms matter, honor matters, and that the lives of soldiers and American representatives matter.
